The editorial team accountable for every calculator on FigureDeck.

FigureDeck is published by an editorial team rather than by a single named individual. Every calculator carries this byline because the site needs a responsible party — the team that decides what gets published, checks the arithmetic and answers corrections. The byline identifies that party. It does not identify a person, and it makes no claim about anyone's professional qualifications.

That is a deliberate departure from the convention of a credentialed personal byline, and the reason is that we cannot meet the convention honestly. Attaching a professional designation we do not hold would be a misrepresentation on a site about money, and it would undercut the only thing this site actually offers: arithmetic you can check for yourself. What is verifiable here is the formula, the cited source behind every external figure, and the correction record — all of them public on every page.

The limits are equally specific. FigureDeck is a free reference tool. It performs arithmetic on figures you supply and it recommends nothing. Where a page depends on a rate, a limit or a threshold set by someone else, that authority's own publication is the operative document and the page cites it rather than paraphrasing it.

Corrections, disputes and questions go to the published contact address, and an error in a figure or a formula is treated as the highest priority category of report. What has been corrected, and when, is recorded on the corrections page.

What the team is accountable for

What the team does not do

It does not give financial advice, and no page on this site does. Every tool here performs arithmetic on figures the reader supplies. It recommends nothing, it is free to use, and it keeps none of the figures you enter. Where a page touches tax or regulation, the issuing authority's own publication is the operative document, and the job here is to cite it accurately rather than to interpret it.

Why there is no personal byline

A credentialed individual byline is the convention on financial sites, and this site does not follow it. The reason is that we would have to invent the credential — and on a site whose whole argument is that a number you cannot check is a number you cannot use, inventing one would defeat the point. What is offered instead is checkable: the formula, the cited source behind every external figure, the worked examples, and the record of what has been corrected. If that is not enough assurance for a decision you are about to make, the right answer is a licensed professional in your jurisdiction rather than this site.
